I fall over and over again…

I fall nearly everyday, deeper and deeper in love with the man I vowed to spend the rest of my life with.

Nicholas does a great job of making me feel so very loved. It is generally not with grand gestures, but rather with all the little things he does. It is him slipping out of bed to walk the dog on mornings after I go to bed with more nerve pain than usual. How he stages the logs in the fireplace so it is ready for me the next time I want to warm up my office in the morning. Taking our daughter out on father daughter dates. Pulling the trash because he knows it is my least favorite chore. There are so many I could not possibly name them all.

Recently he planned a date night for us. We talked about maybe grabbing dinner and watching a band at a local bar. Instead he asked if I would be up for a more laid back evening spent outside. Nick suggested going to a state park and hiking by the lake to watch the sunset. Unfortunately a few things came up and we left later than planned. We would be cutting it very close to make it to the lake. So we decided to visit a county park which was much closer. We hiked up to the scenic overlook on the bluff to watch the sunset. Afterwards we grabbed a beer, delicious burgers and fries. Such a perfect night. I couldn’t have planned it better myself.

It is these little things that make me fall in love with him all over again.
